Bad blocks

Post by perjonsson1960 »

Folks,

We have a backup job that is backing up one of our physical Exchange servers, and during the last three backups B&R says:

"Warning: One or more bad blocks were detetcted and skipped."

What the story doesn't say is if the bad blocks are in the server being backed up, or if they are in the B&R repository or backup files. We have assumed that the warning refers to the server being backed up. Is that a correct assumption?

Hi PJ,

Since the Agent is working on the block level, it notifies you about bad blocks founded during the reading phase of the job in the source. Thanks!
