Bare metal recovery Windows 10 build 2004

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone else has seen this issue and perhaps can suggest a solution?
I have windows 10 build 2004, with the veeam agent for windows version 4.0.0.1811
I have created recovery media, which boots ok, however the moment I select 'bare metal recovery' the following error is displayed:

Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows
Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID
{91CC5B9C-EB33-4621-99E3-78BE7FE1FCA3} failed due to the following
error: 80040154 Class not registered (Exception from HRESULT:
0x80040154 (REFDB_E_CLASSNOTREG)).

It doesn't seem to matter what machine I boot the recovery media on. I've opened a support case (#04245658), in the mean time, I'm keen to know if anyone else has seen this and knows of a resolution.

Hi Steve,
Veeam Agent for Windows 4.0.0.1811 does not officially support Windows 10 2004. Backup might work fine, but there are known issues with Veeam Recovery Media being broken with Windows 2004.

Thanks, I wish MS wouldn't push their updates so hard on unsuspecting public like they do.
Any idea of an eta for a version that works?

Thing is, in Win 10 2004 Microsoft brought in a new version of ADK and has dramatically changed some components versioning scheme (reversed order!), so Veeam Recovery Media cannot be compiled for Windows 10 2004 at all (components version checks do not pass) - the fact your have one created is a lucky circumstance(we did found an "old" unpatched WinRE image in your new system), however media itself will have non-compliant components inside - that's why you see errors in RM UI.
We are in the process to align our RM Creation Tool with new MS versioning scheme and expect that fix to be added in the closest Veeam Backup and Replication v10 update. Stay tuned!

Veeam Backup and Replication 10a along with Veeam Agents 4.0.1 were shipped last week, and these have full support for Windows 10 version 2004. Thanks!
