I would like to browse a backup file from a previous windows 7 endpoint backup and retrieve a file. This is from a backup which is not my current computer. Can you point me to the instructions for this.

You should be able to just double click the VBK file on the machine with Veeam Agent for Windows installed, if I remember correctly. Otherwise, you can always install Veeam Backup & Replication Community Edition, which can open any Veeam backup.
