Bug - Planned backup not started when pc is off or standby

I have my backups planned as a daily backup at 18h30. When my laptop is in standby or off at 18h30, the backup won't start when I power on, Veeam says "next start time <day of tomorrow> at 18h30". Shedule is also configured "backup no more often than every 12 hours".

It is not a bug actually, when you "miss" the backup cycle, it just schedules it for the next cycle. But, in order to improve it in further versions (no promises ) let me recap to see if I understand it correctly.

If you miss the backup schedule (whatever reason) you would like to let the backup start when the machine gets turned on? Like on logon or so?

Today you would actually be able to achieve this by combining the schedule, but I assume you want this built-in on missed backup

we need that feature, too. We are a company with 70 Clients. If all Clients start to backup at for example 10:00 in the morning, there will be a huge traffic ammount we will not be able to handle. Even the repository will have a problem. So you need to randomize all backups. How so? Right, schedule all backups at 4 o´clock in the morning and the appearance in person of the employees will do the "random" for you...

at the moment it is a CIFS Share, because in BETA we cannot add a repository, or do I understand your question wrong?

Then for a case like yours, ‘At storage attach’ event might do the trick. In GA version, you can set backup at storage attach for shared folder destination. Endpoint Backup will check the connection to the set destination and once it is reachable, it will start a backup. By the way boot and reboot are also counted as reconnection to the network.

that´ll not do the trick. If the user has to boot at daytime = another backup. If the user disconnect LAN and reconnect WiFI = Backup. And so on...

I wonder that you say: In case like yours. I think this is the standard-case. I wonder that not more people need that feature.

Don’t forget about Backup no more often than option - you can set it to backup once a day with at storage attach event. When the backup is triggered first time, all next events will be ignored while the no more often than timer is running.

Sounds like setting this value to 24 hours will let you achieve what you want.
