Calculating Digests Error
Hello,
I'm in an internship, and one of my colleagues asked me to look around how to fix an error which is :
Sorry it's in french, that's why my english isn't the best, it says : "Calculating Digests Error: The file 'C:\Windows\TEMP\tmp8CFC.tmp' is unreachable"
We tried to uninstall/reinstall Veeam, Windows Server 2012 R2 is up to date. The Veeam Agent for Windows is in 2.0.0.700.
This problem last for more than a week.
Thanks for your help.

Hello, thank you for your answer (sorry i'm late)
So I checked the Backup Configuration and it's in "Entire Computer" mode, also the destination file is a shared folder on a NAS.

Re: Calculating Digests Error
Hello
had the same problem.
On my side it was the number of files (they was a lot). So the job runs until timeout (2h).
After reduction of files it runs normal and the job ends succesful.

Re: Calculating Digests Error
Hello, I'm getting the same error on Agent for Windows version 3.0.2.1170:
"19/11/2019 14:12:40 :: Calculating digests Error: Could not find file 'C:\Windows\TEMP\tmpC689.tmp'."
I tried running an Active Full backup, which completed successfully (after job failed with above error multiple times), but then running the job normally shortly after the Active Full completed it has failed again with the same error.
The job is in 'Volume level backup' mode and I have selected 'Operating system' only, which has also selected 'OS (C:)' automatically. This is correct in terms of what we want to back up. There is also one drive not being backed up that is unticked.
Destination is a Veeam Backup Repository located on the drive that is not included in the backup job.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Re: Calculating Digests Error
Hi Jacob,
I have seen that error before and it was caused by system recovery partition of said machine. Worth checking.
Best way to get a clear answer is to ask Support Team by opening the case.
Thanks!
