Can I cleanup C:\windows\temp\vctstore?
We've noticed about 6.5GB of .vct files in the C:\windows\temp\vctstore on a windows cluster using agents managed by B&R and they appear to exist on multiple servers.
Considering the location, I suspect that I can remove these files without causing issues to the backups or cbt. Can anybody confirm that these files are not required for veeam agent backups?

Hello Kevin,
You are correct - these are temporary maps for changed block tracking driver and it's safe to delete those. Cheers!

Re: Can I cleanup C:\windows\temp\vctstore?
I have 85GB of 50Mb chunks in C:\Windows\Temp\VctStore on a server that has Veeam Agent for Endpoint...this is a 21TB file server
Are we sure we can delete these files? Why are they not cleaned up by Veeam if we can delete them?

Yes.Are we sure we can delete these files?
QA folks has confirmed that that there might be some issues caused by these files being locked but next version will have all the necessary fixes included to address this problem. Why are they not cleaned up by Veeam if we can delete them?

Hi My question was not about the files in the Temp folder. My question is about the folder ""C:\ProgramData\Veeam\EndpointData\CtStore\VctStore"".

Re: Can I cleanup C:\windows\temp\vctstore?
kveck,
The files in this folder are locked by the CBT driver, you wont be able to delete those without unloading the driver from the operating system (the only way would be to uninstall the driver itself and this folder will be removed during the installation too). Mind me asking why you want this folder to be removed? Thank you!
