Cloud Backup
It would be nice to be able to add a cloud service provider to backup to a cloud destination.

Re: Cloud Backup
Jona, you can add Veeam backup repository and then configure backup copy jobs to send backups to the off-site location.

Re: Cloud Backup
where exactly do I configure the repository? In the beta product I have no access to repositories, only to choose local drive or smb during the setup of the backup?

Re: Cloud Backup
Yes, that's correct. In this beta Veeam repositories cannot be used as targets for EndPoint backups, but as you can see from the GUI this option would be available in the GA version.

Re: Cloud Backup
Obviously this will not work right now with Beta. And it will only work if you have Veeam B&R which most consumers/small businesses will probably not have. I would say, if this product is intended for consumers/small businesses where they do not have servers, then I would suggest that this feature be added into the VEB console.

Re: Cloud Backup
Jona,
Actually it is. In the configure backup go to shared folder (even for the local machine) and specify the exact path to the google drive or dropbox on your local machine. It is maybe not so predictable, but we left a certain workaround on how to back up to the exact location

Re: Cloud Backup
If its not predictable to the end user, then the philosophy of KISS don't pertain to this feature.

It’s not a feature, just a workaround.

Feature request - Cloud integration
It would be so useful to have a native integration with some major cloud provider like Amazon, Microsoft or Dropbox

Re: Cloud Backup
Thank you Davide. Backup and Restore operations are enough for your scenario, or you are looking for some additional functionality when saying native integration?

Re: Cloud Backup
Dmitry,
I thin what Davide is saying is that he wants his onedrive, dropbox, amazon subscription, azure subscription... possibility as a target. So instead of choosing a file share or USB device, that is what he wants to choose.
Davide, this won't be in v1 for sure, and as stated above in this thread, there is a workaround when you want to use dropbox or similar. But I'll make sure it is being discussed for v2
Cheers
Mike

Re: Cloud Backup
Piotr, will be available in GA version. Meanwhile, in the beta you can use a workaround, thru the Share folder destination in the backup options.

Re: Cloud Backup
The cloud backup repository option would be awesome for those that travel with Laptops, to store the backups saftly at the main office / HQ. As an MSP, we have MANY clients with this type of requirement.

Feature Request - Destination Veeam Cloud
Hi,
it would be a nice feature to save the backup to a cloud destination, for example to a Veeam Cloud provider or OneDrive, Dropbox, s/FTP.

Re: Cloud Backup
Hello,
are there any news on the topic cloud backup? For example I have a Strato HiDrice account wich I can mount on my laptop as a "physical" drice with a drive letter. But when I want to configure a backup on this drive letter and choose to backup to a local drive, only the system drive C: is found.

Re: Cloud Backup
Hi David, you can apply the suggested workaround (mentioned above) to reach your goal. Thanks!
