Hi,
I am looking at using Veeam Community Edition to protect a small Domain comprised of -
1 Hyper-V Host with..
2 VM guest Servers
8 workstations
I understand the VCE will support 10 instances so my question is this:
Can I use VCE to support the 2 VMs and 8 Workstations (10 instances) and 1 instance of Veeam Agent for windows for the Hyper-V host itself?

Re: Community Edition PLUS Agent for Windows
Hello and welcome to the community mhack,
That will consume all the free instances from Community Edition.2 VM guest Servers
8 workstations
You can use standalone agent running in free mode to protect the entire host but such agent cannot be connected to the Community Edition.1 instance of Veeam Agent for windows for the Hyper-V host itself

Hey Dima P,
Thanks for your reply. Can you please explain what you mean by "...but such agent cannot be connected to the Community Edition"

Re: Community Edition PLUS Agent for Windows
you can install the agent free edition on some of the workstations and back them up to a file share, nothing to do with vce

Re: Community Edition PLUS Agent for Windows
Correct: standalone agent cannot be connected to the mentioned Community Edition as it will require one of the free licenses. Remaining option is to run such agent in a standalone mode and store backup files locally or to a shared folder.
