Compression and Data Domain Repository

Post by adb98 »

I need some conformation here on how compression works in the Agent for Windows. I am currently connecting to my main VBR and having a repository setup that is a Data Domain repository. I have decompress blocks before sending over in the repository settings but it is only worded for VMs. Does that hold true for Agent for Windows backups as well.

I want to turn compression on as I am getting nic saturation on one of my physicals but I don't want to Fubar my DD as having compression turned on will cause the Data Domain to use more space. I currently have compression turned off on every one of my physical servers backed up by Veeam.

Hi Aaron,

This option should work with agent backup files.
