Ticket # 01900590
I'm trying to do a File Level Restore but when it gets to the Manager it then hangs the machine.
It is a Windows 8.1 machine. It was upgraded to Windows 10 but experienced issues so was downgraded. I have uninstalled Shadow Protect, uninstalled and reinstalled VEEAM, rebooted, ran System File Checker (SFC) and ran DISM, no OS files reported as corrupt.
Backup files can be accessed successfully on another machine, but not on this machine.

Re: Computer locks up when trying to access VEEAM EP backups
Do you have any AV software deployed on this machine? If yes, then have you tried running the FLR operation with the AV disabled?

Success!
I have disabled antivirus (Webroot), run a VEEAM repair from the installer file, reactivated Webroot, then ran the File Level Restore. This worked as expected

Thanks for the update! Next time you can add Veeam-related files to the white-list of the AV software to make it work.
