Configure staging server (SQL) - Browse for servers
Hi, when I use the "Browse for servers" option when configuring a staging server for SQL, Veeam only finds the SQL server where the configuration database is located, not other SQL servers for example that are backed up by Veeam. I am wondering what is needed for Veeam to discover other SQL servers as candidates to be a SQL staging server. Thanks!

Re: Configure staging server (SQL) - Browse for servers
If I remember correctly, this function uses the same logic as sql management studio. SQL Servers needs to be Detectable in the network. Looks like UDP Broadcast is used. And a specific service on the mssql server itself.
UDP Broadcast will not work between different subnets, if I‘m correct.
