Considerations Using Veeam Agent in Parallel with Veeam B&R

We are going to be using the Veeam agent to backup some client Volumes and Files/Folders to our Cloud Repository. These systems (where the agent will be installed on) are also being backed up via Veeam B&R. Are there any issues or potential considerations with this setup?

Can imagine VSS conflicts when schedules are overlapping. Can you elaborate why you want to protect the same computer at guest and host level? Thanks.

Hi Dima and thanks for your reply. We are looking to migrate these VMs from their existing environment to our environment (we are a SP). Their current service provider is backing them up using Veeam B&R. However, we are not able to migrate the entire VMs per their current SP restriction. Therefore, we want to use the Veeam Agent for Windows and send specific Volumes/Folders up to our Cloud Connect repository for ingestion into our environment. Make sense?

Understood, so it's more like one time backup, right? I think that should work (just ask to disable the VBR backup jobs during migration).
