We have for a long period succesfull backups of a large machine using the Windows Agent managed by the Veeam B&R server
Now the machine is renamed (other DNS- hostname) and shows to be offline. (IP hasn't changed)
We were thinging the UUID was used to identify the unique machines, but now it seems that the hostname is also taken into account.
What is the procedure to revive the backupjob with the new machine without breaking the chain. (forever incremental)
Thanks !

Re: Continue backup after rename machine without breaking ch
Hello Kristof.
The backup object is created based on IP/Hostname that you used for your host during rescan procedure. First please try to create a new protection group for this particular host and check if you can rescan it? Thanks.
