Cryptolocker USB
CryptoLocker protection.
Protect backup files residing on USB-based backup storage from potential
CryptoLocker-type threats by automatically ejecting the backup storage immediately after a successful
backup is completed.
Can anybody explain to me how to do that, after setup as it is after backup usb disk is still on system and i can get files from disk.
Thanks

Re: Cryptolocker USB
Hello Saguaro,
'Eject removable storage once backup' is an option is available for 'When backup target is connected' backup event. If both options are checked, once the backup is triggered by USB device being connected and completed successfully - device will be automatically ejected.

Re: Cryptolocker USB
Hello,
I am following this post, as I have the same problem.
I am using an RDX SATA cartridge storage, and after the backup is succesful the media stays into the loader, and attacched to system.
Both time and USB connected trigger are checked.
I may suppose this is reserved to USB media?

Re: Cryptolocker USB
I doubt that it works for RDX storage since it might be treated differently by operating system.RDX SATA cartridge storage
This should be working only for 'When backup storage is connected' event.connected again start backup
Guys,
If it does not work, please open a support case and let the support team investigate the logs. Do not forget to paste the case Id to this thread, so I could forward it to QA team for investigation. Thanks.

Re: Cryptolocker USB
Since it is seen from Windows as removable storage, I thought it might be possible.Dima P. wrote:RDX SATA cartridge storage

Is there any way to call/trigger an external exe or script after the job is successful?
That would do the job.
Thanks

Re: Cryptolocker USB
Unfortunately, it’s not possible via scripting.
