I would like to create my own Windows PE-based recovery media. I have an image that already contains some useful utilities like VNC and Teamviewer. I copied the "VeeamRecovery" folder from the boot.wim image of the Veeam Recovery ISO and other Veeam folders found in "Program Files", Common Files", and "ProgramData". I also copied the .Net Framework" folder as well. When I run "Veeam.EndPoint.Recovery.exe", I can browse to a local backup file, but then I get this error.
"Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {91CC5B9C-EB33-4621-99E3-78BE7FE1FCA3} failed due to the following error: 80040154 Class not registered (Exception
from HRESULT: 0x80040154 (REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG))."
I contacted Veeam support but was told this type of support is not offered and to go to the forums.
I searched a bit and spoke to many people that could have knowledge in that area and did not find any guide on how to implement the recovery software on a general Windows PE system. The only advice that I could give is to create a recovery media with Veeam and to study the config files and software implementation. You can maybe copy things and folders to your own system and then compare configuration files.
