Hello Team,
I configured almost 100 MS workstations with Veeam Agent 6.0.2.1090 on which backup and restortion activity properly working. Our compliance team have some observations where found enduser other than administrator can able to perform backup and restortion activity from his own login which should not happen as we found in some case where user can cancel the job.
So i want to peform below actions
1 Hide the icon of the Veeam Agent from Task bar. (Not individually but collectively)
2 Hide the Veeam Agent setup from "All Programme" list so user even can' find it from list.
3 Is there any way we can run backup operations (In case of failure) without switching end user profile login even from front end.
4 How to restrict domain user to conduct manual backup and restore activity?
I need to fix the concerns raised by auditor so as to further go ahead and configure more systems with agent backup. I also reaised support case (Case # 07294501) to get the queries addressed.
Thanks
Hiten

Re: Disabele End user Access to Veeam Agent for MS Windows
Hello Hiten,
Currently it's not possible for standalone agent deployments, but you can use Read - Only mode for job settings for agents controlled by Veeam Service Provider Console or for agents managed by Veeam B&R server. Thank you!

Re: Disabele End user Access to Veeam Agent for MS Windows
Thanks Dima for reply.
But in our case Agents are installed locally on systems and configured jobs from VBR servers. So can it be possible to make changes from VBR so that client settings will get readonly. I think for the same i need to create package from Protection Group and share for installation or directly push to client.
I am also trying to find the way using Windows Group Policy if we can make changes hiding the details of Veeam Agent.
Thanks
Hitendra

Re: Disabele End user Access to Veeam Agent for MS Windows
Understood, thank you! Only job settings with such deployment are read-only to make sure that configuration defined by backup admin is not changed, customers still can run restores for self-service and change the app settings if needed.
