Doing a baremetal of my laptop as a test
I see in windows resource monitor the network portion is active. What is occurring here ? I see Veeamendpointservice.exe doing something in regards to networking. Still continues even if I disable all my adapters on my machine.

Hello Mike.
The reason you see network traffic is because agent's components are communicating with each other via network loop. Cheers!

Mike,
That should not be a bottleneck. If you want to speed up the backup process you can uncheck the box ‘Throttle backup activity when system is busy’ at Veeam Agent Control Panel > Settings but that would consume more CPU/RAM.
