Email and shutdownpc

Hi

I've Installed Veeam Agent Free on a windows PC. It save backup in a nas and after job it shut down the pc.
All works perfectly but the email doesn't work.
I think shutdown command is too fast and the mail can't go out.
Do you have a workaround?

Thanks. Asked QA to take a look.

Edit: QA folks checked your scenario an email report was delivered before shutdown. To continue the investigation we need application logs from your machine, so can I ask you to open a support case (Control Panel > Support > Technical Support) and share the case ID. Thanks.

[MERGED] Shutdown before email?

Hello everybody,

I recently started using Veeam Agent for Windows (current version).
There I set up an email to be sent after every backup. (When I send a test mail, it also arrives - so the email configuration fits!)
In addition, I have set up that the affected computer shuts down after the backup is finished (this also works so far).

Unfortunately I don't get any emails :(

Will the computer shut down before the mail can be sent?
Or where can the mistake be?

Hi Philipp,

Email will be sent prior the shutdown.
You can check job execution log yourself(C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Endpoint\Job_Name\Job____.log) or with the help of our support engineers(feel free to share case ID here for reference).

Hello everybody,

I finally found out yesterday why no emails were arriving ...
The client has some problem sending a message with SSL (port 587) after the backup has taken place!
Strangely, it works when I send a test email :?

I have now configured without SSL (port 25) and lo and behold - it works!

But I see this more as a workaround - SSL has been proven to work (at least as a test mail) - it should "always" work :roll:

Have the same issue is there already a solution to get I work with 587 and ssl? Because the test mail works fine.

Case-Nr.04845783

The email notification don't work after backed up, the configuration and the following test was successful, here I have received the mail.

But after a backup in the backup log there is written that the email can't be sendet due False configuration.

But iam 1000% sure that the configuration are correct because the test-mail arrives without trouble.

What can I do here?

If test email works fine and regular backup job report does not - please keep working with our support team as application log analysis is required. Thanks!
