Endpoint - Domain Controller Backup Failing
Hello,
Just installed Veeam Endpoint or Agent 2.0. It fails right away with:
7/28/2017 10:26:30 PM :: Error: Failed to disable DC SafeBoot mode Cannot get [BcdObject.Id="{9dea862c-5cdd-4e70-acc1-f32b344d4795}",StoreFilePath=""] object. COM error: Code: 0xd000014c
Any ideas here?

Any progress on this case? I have the same issue. I just setup 2 DCs to be backed up using veeam agent for windows latest version downloaded today. One of them is 2008 R2 and the other is 2012 R2. 2012R2 backs up successfully. 2008R2 fails with error failed to disable dc safeboot mode cannot get [bcdobject="{9dea862c-5cdd...

Re: Endpoint - Domain Controller Backup Failing
I'm having the same issue on a 2012 Essentials VM, migrated using Disk2VHD to a (free) MS Hyper-V 2016 server. As Disk2VHD doesn't copy the EFI partition, I had to recreate it following these instructions (https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Fo ... rverhyperv), VM works ok but endpoint fails since the move. I've reinstalled endpoint, and also recreated the db adding the reg key. BCD settings are correct, the server is a domain controller, so I'm guessing endpoint is looking for something that's no longer there after having to recreate the EFI partition. Case number is 03206140.

Re: Endpoint - Domain Controller Backup Failing
Ok, I finally solved the issue on my case, with lots of digging and help from Mike Powell of the support team.
Turns out, in my case, the problem was that my recreated EFI partition didn't have the proper ID. This didn't stop it from booting, but caused bcdedit /enum to answer that it couldn't find the default data store. After setting the correct id (diskpart, select disk 0, select partition 2 [your one might be different], set id=c12a7328-f81f-11d2-ba4b-00a0c93ec93b), taken from here: (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/window ... nds/set-id) and editing the Veeam Agent job to make it notice the changed partition id, backups started working again.
Hope this helps some of you guys.
