Hello Veeam users,
I have an issue with a Laptop Backup, using Veeam Agent for Windows and Veeam Backup and Replication.
When outside the company, using VPN, the backup takes too long time to achieve:
the "enumerating directories" part takes 1h30 (yes, one hour and a half)
Then, a few minutes are used to transfer the 77MB differential files.
How to reduce this time?
Thank you

Re: Enumerating directories - toooo long
Hello Jerome,
What backup mode are you using? Have you considered setting up a local repository on-site and using the backup copy from such repository to the main site? Thanks.

Re: Enumerating directories - toooo long
Hello Dima,
on the laptop side, I am using File level backup, because user need to choose what folders to backup. It is then sent to Veeam backup Repository on the server.
On the server side, repository is a iSCSI disk. Backup is then copied to Cloud Connect.
thanks

Re: Enumerating directories - toooo long
File level backup is expected to be slower than image level backup (entire computer or volume level backup modes). Try to disable backup throttling via Control Panel > Settings and let me know how it goes. Thanks.
