I was getting this error when backing up to my NAS.
Error: Shared memory connection was closed. Failed to upload disk. Agent failed to process method {DataTransfer.SyncDisk}.
It was due to authentication issues. I have posted a fix here.

Solution
1. Edit job
2. Thick the box “Perform backup files health check” and set the current day
3. Run the job
4. Click the backup job
5. Click “show retries”
6. Find the name of corrupted file
7. Localize the corrupted file
8. Remove it
9. Run backup
