Exchange items restoration failed with error 507 insufficient storage
Hi,
I'm trying to restore a folder of a user for the first time.
I can browse the mailbox, select restore, but it failed
veeam is able to restore 374 items, but failed for 5365 items
the error is :
Failed to create items. The request failed with HTTP status 507: Insufficient Storage
I can't find any reason for this.
All these emails are monitoring alerts, and all are small emails (not a problem of limit from EWS I think)
I haven't disk size problem. All my exchange drives have a lot of space.
Thanks for your help

Re: Exchange items restoration failed with error 507 insufficient storage
Hi Benoit,
I'm not an exchange expert, but based on what I can see on the internet this issue is related to the Maximum Message Size settings. Have you tried increasing them for testing purposes?
Thanks

I haven't, but for me this problem is "by message"
if I have a big mail to restore with a big attachment, I can have this problem. But here it's really small mails, something like 20 or 30kb

Re: Exchange items restoration failed with error 507 insufficient storage
The message you see during the restoration process comes from the Exchange server indicating the cause layer. In this particular situation, it would be useful to see the exact screenshots stating what are the currently set limits on the server and what are the actual sizes of the emails you are trying to restore (those that failed to restore). Also, I would try restoring a single email which restoration failed initially. This might give us more information.

Re: Exchange items restoration failed with error 507 insufficient storage
I just do this test.
If I restore the folder (right click on folder name > restore to username) it's failing after 374 mails
If I show all items in the folder > select all > restore to username, it's working, the ~6000 mails are restored
If I restore the folder (right click on folder name > restore to username) it's failing after 374 mails
If I show all items in the folder > select all > restore to username, it's working, the ~6000 mails are restored

This is strange and absolutely unexpected. In this case, I would recommend you to reach out to our support team directly since logs analysis (for both tests performed) is necessary in this case. Please post your support case ID here for our reference.
Thanks in advance!
