Failed to get license for agent (Case-ID: 03457621)
Hello,
we have an issue with one physical windows 8 Client.
We try to Backup the client with the backup server.
We install the agent on the client via the backup server. This completes without errors.
But if we try to run a backupjob for this client we get the following error:
"12.03.2019 07:32:17 :: Cannot send backup job configuration to <Client> Error: Failed to get license for agent <Client>"
We have tried the following steps:
- uninstall the agent manually on the client
- install it again via backup-Server
- uninstall it via backup server
- crate a new protection group for workstations
- check the license status (enough licenses!)
But we get always the same error.
What else we have to check ?

With help from support we have found a solution for our problem.
Because of changes in the operation with the licenses in update 4. The client was added two times to the database.
Because of this doubling the client cant install the right license.
For me helped these steps:
1. Stop all Veeam-Jobs
2. make a Configuration Backup https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... l?ver=95u4
3. Backup of the SQL-Database https://www.veeam.com/kb1471
4. remove the affected client from VBR
5. execute the sql-query
[query was removed]
