Feature Request - Agent Archive

Post by Duke979 »

It would be very helpful if there was a way to archive a windows agent backup to an archive repository or SOBR. My company use case is we take a full backup when an employee leaves or is fired from the company, we want to keep the backup of that workstation for possible future review in an archive. Currently only way to do this is to manually move file from existing repository in windows to an archive repository, but this leads to the files not being seen by Veeam B&R.

Windows Agent Backup to a SOBR with Capacity Tier and Archive Tier should be already supported with Veeam B&R V11 and Agent 5.0.

This way, you will have your cheap archive Storage.

I understand that you can have agent backups age out to a Capacity or Archive Tier, but I am requesting a right click computer name, move to archive that would remove this workstation from the backup job, or add to exclusion list of job and then move the related files to a specific archive/sobr repository. Almost like the capability to VeeamZip servers for on demand backup, this would be a way to archive quickly a workstation.
