Today I went into VEB to restore something and found out that backups hadn't run for 28 days. The problem was that the Veeam Endpoint Backup service was crashing on startup. I had upgraded some SQL components on my computer and this seems to have broken VEB's use of LocalDB. Reinstalling VEB fixed the issue.
But, it would have been nice if the UI displayed a message that backups had stopped working X days ago. While the service wasn't working, Veeam.EndPoint.Tray.exe was still loading and could have communicated with me. The worst time to find out backups haven't been running is when you open the application to restore something.

Re: Feature Request: Notify When Backups Not Working
Hi Mark,
Possibly, a control panel popup or email notifications would also work?

I can see use cases for both. The dialog would be helpful for instances when email notification is not configured. I would recommend it be something the user has to dismiss. A balloon notification would be easy to miss.
