Re: Feature Request: SQL log truncation
Hello Cullan,
If I am not mistaken it’s available even in the current BETA. Thank you.

Feature Request: SQL Log Truncation OPTIONAL
Hi there,
I am wanting to use a separate product to take cloud backups of SQL.
Is it possible to have an option to say "Truncate SQL Logs" where it can be turned off.
Cheers,
Kirk

Hi Kirk,
As a workaround for now, you can start your 3rd party product to backup log first, and then start the regular image backup of the server.
Thanks!

+1 to have the ability to disable application processing. We use Redgate for our SQL. Will have to use an alternative for backing up this physical machine for now.

Re: Feature Request: SQL log truncation
Hi there,
Just a Bump still keen for this feature.
While I can schedule this backup to happen just before a SQL Full there is some real danger around potentially useless backups if a schedule is misconfigured on something like that.
I would imagine it would be quite simple to add this option and massively useful.
I cannot recommend this for our environment without this option.
Thanks,
Kirk

Hi, Kirk. Veeam Endpoint Backup FREE does not do application-aware processing, and carries no logic for truncating SQL transaction logs. Thanks!
