Feature Request - Central Management Console

We also are considering rolling out Veeam Endpoint Backup to several hundred users but unfortunately without having a central point of management of these endpoints, this is not practical. It would be nice to lock down the settings so the end user cannot change them and also to set those settings globally from the server. We are willing to pay $$$ for that!

Thank you for the reply! We are looking to centrally manage endpoints through B&R server so that would doing things like locking down endpoint settings so users cannot change them, rolling out new versions of Endpoint Backup from the server, setting configuration globally on all or a number of users and initiating restores remotely from the server, etc.

I realize these might be above the Free version of Endpoint Backup. But in our case, we love the product and the fact that it can integrate into our existing infrastructure.

Another vote for N-Central integration, or a management console (could be part of B&R or separate.) As with other posters, we would pay for this feature. We would love to deploy Endpoint to all our managed workstations but the lack of management features makes it too tough.

We have just seen VEB integration with LabTech, this is really what we would want however we don't want
to deploy another system as we already have other systems doing same things as LabTech.

Are there any plans now to release central management console or integrate VEB with VBR console?
We would like to able to:
- remotely deploy VEB agent from "console"
- remotely configure jobs (schedules, repositories)
- remotely running jobs on demand
- reporting on all VEB agents / jobs

All the above are available via LabTech and VEB plugin so why don't you integrate it with your own VBR console?
Obviously as many other members mentioned here we wouldn't mind paying if this was available.

Unfortunately, I cannot share any dates/ETAs, but you can keep monitoring our forums digest emails, where Anton is sharing news from Veeam R&D. Once there is more information to share, we will definitely do this.

Another vote for full integration of VEB from the VBR console. My intent isn't for backing up desktops/laptops, but for backing up physical servers, so I can finally kick NetBackup to the curb.

Regarding VEB, top features would be Deploy (with config), Management, Grouping and a lite reporting with alarms

Thanks for your feature request! Central management is already available through integration with LabTech RMM. Can you please provide us a bit more information on your setup? Are you a service provider or you would like to manage VEBs just for your company? How many endpoints would you like to protect?

Hi there...regarding centralized management, is there any disadvantage to using LabTech for management until Veeam releases a native management console? It seems like LabTech is geared towards MSP. Is it practical for a non MSP to use it for management of clients?

LabTech is indeed a very powerful framework for remote monitoring and management, which is key to MSPs. If you need only VEB management, then this tool might be an over-kill, as it includes patch management, antivirus, billing and helpdesk capabilities.

Is it possible the manage the backup of physical servers, protected with Veeam endpoint backup agent, central from the management console? And it would be fine if this jobs are also visible in SCOM(Veeam MP4SC).
