Re: Feature Request - Multiple Jobs

Post by jellydonuts »

Any update on this feature request? It is now almost 2020!!!!

Use Case: I require two different tiers of backups
1. Important files - work on daily, using filters to exclude things like .jpg .png etc
2. Memories - files synced from my devices onto my main desktop, need to be backed up to another drive in the same system (include .jpg .png etc)

This feature has been available since version 3.0, but it requires Server or Workstation edition of the agent. Also, in case of Workstation edition, you can create additional jobs to Cloud Connect repositories only.

Please also note that Veeam Agent for Windows is focused on image-level backups of the entire system, so it may not be an optimal solution for your described use case of strictly file-level backups. You may be able to achieve better results with specialized file-level backup tools, which are abundant.

Thanks!

[MERGED] more then one job

Post by w.soukup »

Hello,
is it possible with the windows agent to create more then one job for a workstation?
I want to create:
1. Backup complete to a local USB device
2. Backup only data to a network storage.

regards
Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang,

I've moved your post to the existing thread with all the discussions on this feature.
Yes, it's possible to create several jobs.
Free edition does not support multiple jobs.

Thanks!
