Feature requests
Hi,
First of all, I really like this product, it's saved me many times now
A feature that you might want to talk about is to be able to Enable/Disable backup when on WiFi/VPN (3rd party vendors as well)
When I'm travelling and connected via VPN my backup runs because I forget to disable it so it would be really good to have that option.

Re: Feature requests
Hi,
Just to make it clear, the idea is to backup your laptop each time there is a VPN connection with the remote repository?
Thanks for the suggestion!

Per,
Besides the question from Shestakov, can you also tell us how (in your case) we can discover this? It is not that straightforward to know if on VPN or not, depending on the vendor, so if we would consider this, then we need to think about discovering this on a simple way like specific subnet or something like that

Re: Feature requests
Hi,
Well, the suggestion is that I would like to have the option to disable backups even when the repository is available when on VPN. i.e. If the connected is over a slow connection.
The usual situation is when the computer have more than one IP address. That's the fact when at least using Cisco VPN clients.

Re: Feature requests
So the feature request is to make an option to restrain Endpoint from backup if the repository is connected over VPN connection?

Re: Feature requests
Thanks for the request!
As Mike mentioned above, that`s not always clear if the repository connected over VPN or not. We`ll make some research to see if it`s feasible.

Re: Feature requests
I just got an idea!
Is it possible to programmatically tick/un-tick the "Disable scheduled backups" check box?
I that case I could run a startup script that checks which network my computer is connected to.

Re: Feature requests
Hi Per,
There is no API call for this, however you can adapt this functionality to your needs. For example, control backup schedule via Task Scheduler or trigger backup job by some other event.
Thanks!
