first time backup of DC extremely slow

Our first time backup of DC with only 125GB runs extremely slow. For 9 hours, it only completed 2%. Well it is backing up to the cloud. Is that normal?

Do I need to check the option of application-aware for only backing up domain controller?

yes, it is an entire domain controller backup. The destination is the cloud.

Is it the only one server that you have low performance issues with? Also can you clarify what is the designation target, I guess you meant to say cloud repository of the VCSP?

That is the first server I set up to back up. The cloud name is green cloud.

What is your internet bandwidth ? you are surely limited by your upload speed.

the upload speed is 1.93 mbps after I did the speed test on the server. The veeam backup agent is running at 2 MB/s.
What shall I do to improve the situation?
Any advice?

1.93 mbps is approximately 0.25 megabytes per second, so to improve the performance you need to upgrade the bandwidth or consider "backup seeding" as an option to transfer the 1st full backup quicker.
