Folder backups from USB drive?
hello! is it possible to create a File level backup of a folder that resides on a USB drive? i have a 2TB USB drive and i can't see it from the veeam agent when i'm presented with the "Objects to backup" dialog, i just see Operating system, Personal files, Local Disk C, System Reserved, and \\?\Volume{xxxx-xxx-xxxx-xxxxxx}, which i think is my mapped NAS drive, but it's not expandable so i can't confirm.
the USB drive shows up in Windows file explorer with drive letter x.. it was originally assigned D so i changed the letter in case the Veeam agent thinks D is for an optical drive or something.
any ideas?
thanks in advance!

Re: Folder backups from USB drive?
Hi Matt26,
First: Welcome to the forums!
Second: No, at this moment it is not possible to do this. However, we have received this request already a few times and it is on our radar. I won't make any promises when and if this will be implemented but consider your ask as an additional ask for this feature request
Cheers
Mike

Re: Folder backups from USB drive?
PS: The \\?\Volume{xxxx-xxx-xxxx-xxxxxx} is not your NAS but is probably your recovery partition or the EFI system partition or something like that. In case you want to do BMR you will want to add this volume for protection. (it should be automatically included when you choose full computer protection)

Re: Folder backups from USB drive?
Might be a recovery partition created by Windows during OS upgrade.
