What VEB do when backup target is out of space? Can VEB delete oldest incr backups to free up some space?

The backup job fails, thus we have a built in notifications to let you know when your repository is running out of space.

ok, so for now veb is not set it and forget it? how to delete some old incr backups but wont loose backup chain?

Daniel,

You can decrease retention in backup job settings and run a backup – old restore points are going to be merged into full backup.

This is bad...User(s) can consume space on this another disk and cannot non-stop check if there is space or not.
Feature request can be: if repository free space is bellow some amount Gb/% delete old incr backups to free up space up to 100,200,500gb, or in %...

Daniel, thanks for the feedback! If you set a desired retention policy, then deleting the oldest restore point (due to lack of free space) will automatically make you out of compliance and you will not be able to restore from that day (if needed)?

BTW, what's your destination target for the VEB job?
