Help! Can't install Veeam Endpoint Backup

Hi support, I had Veeam Endpoint Backup working on my PC for nearly up to a year.

It recently stopped working for an unknown reason and would not connect to the veeam service. I chose to re-install veeam as the fix, though I couldn't uninstall either, it threw out some error "endpoint.sys" error or similar.

so i used wise program uninstaller to force remove Veeam, and removed the Veeam service from registry, and tried to re-install Veeam from scratch.

However whenever i run the setup file, I get "Failed to initialize setup program. Refer to setup logs for details"

In C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Setup\Temp , I have :

I've tried:
Run as administrator
Disable anti-virus
Safe-mode
Deleting all keys of Veeam in registry
Uninstalling Microsoft SQL LocalDB
Re-installing MSXML 4.0 SP3 Parser

Any ideas?

Nope unfortunately I can't install/run Veeam and i don't have another windows PC, is there another way to open a case?

Neil,

Most of the installation issues are caused by third party components, antivirus software or pending updates. If Veeam Agent for Windows fails in your environment please open a support case to investigate the root case. Cheers!
