Hello,
I am trying to configure one time weekly backup (every Sunday) and delete the previous backup with the Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows but without success. I was searching for solution without avail. Is there any simple way how to do it?
Thank you

Re: Help with backup once a week
Hi,
You can configure an active backup that only has one restore point, with a 7-day retention, but you have to confirm that it does not have an immutable repository or anything enabled that does not allow the objects of the previous copy to be deleted, or you can generate a synthetic backup as well with a restore point.
Regards.

Re: Help with backup once a week
Hi David
That won't work for Agents running in the free or workstation mode.
Marc wants to create 1 backup per week. A full backup. No daily backups.
In free or workstation mode, the retention policy keeps backups according to days where a backup was successfully created. A 7 day retention will keep 7 weekly full backups.
@Devnull101
You can try with a retention of 1 day. But even then there will be two full backups on your disk.
We keep backups for N+1 days. N is the value specified by you.
Best,
Fabian
