Hourly backups with Server Edition?

Post by AlexLeadingEdge »

Hi guys,

I have a small business client that wants to back up their database hourly just in case something falls over. Can Veeam Agent Server Edition do hourly backups?

Hi Alex

You have Two options. You can do both options on a standalone agent and with agent managed by vbr.

Backup the Entire machine each hour, choose Periodically every Hour in the schedule setting

Or use Transaction Log Backup for the Agent Job. If it‘s a MSSQL or Oracle Database :-) You configure it in the Guest Processing Setting of the Job.

Hi Alex,

In addition, you can also check the editions comparison and the scheduling configuration in the guides to get more details.

Thanks!

Thanks guys. The "Perodically every..." option was what I was wondering about. No mention of hourly / minutely backups in the Editions Comparison, which I had already had a look in, but the Scheduling Configuration mentions it.
