How to monitor a windows agent

Post by Domino5 »

Hi,

This is probably very basic! I have a Windows Agent deployed at a remote site. How do I get its back up status to be monitored by Veeam ONE?

Kind regards,

Hello,

You should be able to see Veeam Backup Agent for Windows jobs managed by Veeam B&R server on the Agent Jobs tab.

Thanks!

Is the agent managed by a VBR Server?
Or is it a standalone Agent?

Hi Mildur,

It was deployed from a VBR server, the backup job is "managed by agent".

Bit more info, no idea if it is relevant; in Backup and Replication, in Backup Repositories, when I right-click over the repo and select "Rescan" it completes but says "Skipped 1". There is currently one backup job going to that Repo and I can see over the weekend it did a full and incrementable backup.

Can you confirm that when you click rescan agent machine is fully accessible from Veeam B&R server? Thanks!

ah I think I might have it. I thought the item should appear in Agent Jobs, but is it appearing in "Agent Policies". Is that correct? I still don't see anything in One Reporter though.

Yes, that's correct. If you're using the "managed by agent" mode, then it will be displayed in the policy's tab. If deploy it as "managed by server", then it will be in the jobs tab.

Can you please clarify where you look at Veeam ONE Reporter to find this agent?
