How to transfer backup config from another computer?

Hi all!

Can I transfer Veeam backup settings from another computer? My desktop computer died and I have built a new computer. My disk configuration is more or less identical, and I have been using an external USB drive as a backup target. I have only been using file-level backups.

I have access to the old SQL Express database files (LDF & MDF). Could I just replace the standard files created by a new Veeam installation?

Hello dreamteam,

You cannot transfer the job settings, so the backup should be configured from scratch. You can transfer the backup files for restore purposes (but you should start new backup chain due to new machine hardware configuration). Cheers!
