how to use explorer in conjunction with endpoint
Hi.
In the website there is a statement saying that we can use the veeam endpoint in conjunction with the free explorers.
I am trying to find a way to mount the backup files from the endpoint backups in a Veeam Free installation but there is no import.
We want to restore a mailbox from a Veeam Endpoint backup.
This customer only has 1 physical server. (will of course be virtualized soon..)

Re: how to use explorer in conjunction with endpoint
it seems like that require a licensed veeam b&r or at least one virtualized server added to gain this functionality?
With just one physical server with veeam free installed and veeam endpoint, this will not work, am I correct?

Frank,
VBR Free edition will work. By the way, you can install it on the same machine where VEB resides without any worries.

Re: how to use explorer in conjunction with endpoint
hm, i have done that.
But i am not really sure how i f.ex can select the .edb (exchange) file?
first i must somehow mount the file from the backup image to be able to select it it in the explorer?
Because I can't see anything in Veeam Free where i can add a repository or import the backup files from endpoint backup?

Re: how to use explorer in conjunction with endpoint
Frank,
Seems the backup was not ‘created’ inside the VBR repository. Double click the .vbk or .vbm file on the VBR server to start a file level recovery (using VBR, not VEB). Then you should see the application item option in the ribbon of the backup browser.
