I can not 'Create Recovery Media' from 'Backup Copy'

Post by BrunoEckle »

Hi,
I have a backup job for a physical server with 1 day retention and a backup copy from the same backup job with 45 days retention.
I need to restore the C: from a point of 10 days later but i can not make a Create Revocery Media from this point of backup copy.
This option is grayed out. why ? (it's active of backup job)
Thanks

Hello Bruno,

Unfortunately Recovery Media creation from backup copy backup is currently not possible. Is it possible to create a recovery media from the primary backup? Cheers!

Hello Dima,

Thank you for the answer.
Yes, it is possible to do a restoration from primary backup. But I need to go back 10 days before... And the retention of the backup is only 1 point (1 day).
I will just restore the system drive c:\. :-(

Bruno,

Recovery Media is a bootable image that you can use to load recovery environment. One it's loaded you can select the restore points from your repository (and you can select restore points from backup copy as well). Cheers!

Hello Dima,

Can you explain to me how to export a backup of the StoreOnce (catalyst mode) to a CIFS share so that I can choose it after starting from the ISO ?
Because I can only choose network shares. I can see the catalys mode.

Thanks
