I created a backup job, how to remove it?
Hi all,
I just downloaded: https://www.veeam.com/nl/windows-endpoi ... -free.html
I created it on my windows 7 machine, backup went fine. Really great.
Now I want to remove the backup job that I created, I cant find it anywhere in the control panel of Veeam. Am I missing something?
There should be an option to remove it...

Hello,
Veeam Agent for Windows supports only one backup job, so in order to change it simply modify existing settings to fit your backup scenario.

Hi Dima,
1) Can you give us an option for removing or clearing a backup configured job?
2) Why is there not an option to have more then 1 backup job? Maybe someone wants to backup to their external harddisk and to a NAS.

The only option is to reset the database settings like described below:
1. Make sure VAW service is stopped
2. Delete folder C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server Local DB\Instances\VeeamEndPoint
3. Delete folder C:\ProgramData\Veeam\EndpointData
4. Set registry value HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Veeam\Veeam Endpoint Backup\RecreateDatabase to "1"
5. Start VAW service

3. Delete folder C:\ProgramData\Veeam\EndpointData
4. Set registry value HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Veeam\Veeam Endpoint Backup\RecreateDatabase to "1"
5. Start VAW service

I get a "Need permission" to delete error when I try to delete "C:\ProgramData\Veeam\EndpointData".Dima P. wrote:The only option is to reset the database settings like described below:

I get the same error when I logon with the Admin account, try safe mode, and when I take ownership of the folder. I'm on Win 2012 R2.

Hello Jeff,
Try to login as administrator, stop the services and then perform deletion. Another option might be booting in the safe mode. Thanks.

Re: I created a backup job, how to remove it?
Tried all of that. None worked. Each attempt, I made sure no Veeam or SQL services or processes were running. I ended up taking ownership of the folder, while logged in the Administrator account but that did not work until a reboot. Finally able to delete after reboot. Maybe something had a file locked but the error I kept getting said I did not have permission.
