Is there anything in the .vbm file that indicates a failure or incomplete backup?
Does the .vbm only get created upon completion so its presence means all should be AOK ?
I am unable to open backup created on previous PC (same versions VAW/FLR on Win 10 64). Second PC sees the backup, but not the restore point, so nothing there to open. (.vbk and .vbm ARE both present and look OK). Once I regain access to PC 1, is there a log ?

Re: Indicator of successful backup ?
Hello,
the indicator for successful backups could be
1) the UI
2) email notification
3) central management with Backup & Replication or Veeam ONE
4) the windows event log
5) for support: c:\program data\veeam\... logfiles
Best regards,
Hannes
