Hello,
i installed Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows 4.0.1.2169 on an machine and when veeam asked me "This installation operates in free mode. Would you like to install a licence file?" i clicked on "No".
But it doesn't matter what i choose.
I can't backup, because the licence are expired. But i choosed the free mode?!?
I tryed several times to deinstall and install Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows, but it's always the same situation.
If i click on "About" i see the following message under Version:
Licencse and edition are managend by xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
But this server did not exist any more.
How can i use Veeam Agent for Windows in the free version on this machine?

Hello,
I assume that you still have backup jobs pointing to the VBR server.
I just tried it out. Once I removed the job(s) pointing to the VBR server, the agent automatically switched into free edition mode.
Best regards,
Hannes
that's the reason. The agent still believes that it needs to get licenses from the Veeam Backup & Replication server.Licencse and edition are managend by xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
