Strange. I found that the problem all persists on the computer which OS is windows 8 64 bit. I installed VEB on Windows 8 32 bit successfully.

I still did not receive the email so far.

Another problem shows up on another computer now.

I have recovered the data file by using the recovery media, but when I restart the computer , it unable to start the computer and when I using the diagnose tools to fix the problem, but still failed.

When I backup the data file, I select entire computer
When I restore the data file, I select entire computer

Regarding the recovery issue, did you perform a restore to dissimilar hardware? Have you tried to uncheck ‘Inject drivers’ option prior to Bare Metal Recovery (under Tools > Drivers in the recovery media main screen).

I perform a restore to the same computer and format the local drive. And the warning "OS version in backup is different from the current OS.This may cause driver installation issues" always exist. And after finish perform the restore still could not start computer.

Then I untick the option "Inject these drivers into operating system while performing bare metal recovery" and restore again, it works.Now I could start the computer .

But the former problem which could not install VEB on 64 bit OS still not resolved.

Thank you and your QA team for the great support. Here comes a good news. I could install the VEB and configure the backup successfully under the guidance of Adam.

I think that lavasoft software is the cause of VEB installation failure and this software I think is bundling into the application named Lenovo Power Management Driver.

We are all appreciated that you and your QA team help fix the VEB installation problem.

I never exprected that LavasoftTCP64.dll could be the cause, because we are using images to deploy many systems.

Maybe someone has changed the image after image the affected system.


netsh winsock reset
reboot
delete LavasoftTCP64.dll from system32 and syswow64

and all is fine now, "configure backup" succeeds and Veeam is running backups as it should

When I'm trying to install Veeam Endpoint Backup after few second installed failed and says: "Installation was interrupted, or something did not work as expected. For more information, see the installation logs."
I tried to restart machine and disable antivirus. I have turned VSS as well but nothing help. Here is full log file from installation:

I am trying to install Endpoint Backup on a W7x64 SP1 machine.

I know I am supposed to open a ticket from the Control Panel, but I cannot because I cannot get the product to install, so please don't delete this question until you provide me another avenue to contact you.

I have manually installed .NET 4.5.2 and restarted multiple times and still can't get the product to install. Systemprofile has full SYSTEM privileges and VirusScan is disabled.

Hi all - I'm wondering if anyone has insight into why my VEB installation might be failing. I am trying to install it on a Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 box.

The installation error appears to be ocurring on the SQL Server side of things. I have rebooted the machine many times (in case of 'pending updates'). Here is a code snippet from the Endpoint_***.log file:

Within the SQLLocalDB.log file, I did find this line:

I did try installing as Domain Admin, and stil no luck, so I don't think its a permissions issue. Any thoughts?

Did you try to reboot this machine and start installation from scratch? Also, please make sure that you don’t have any pending windows updates (it might be hanging in waiting for reboot state).

Yes, the machine has been rebooted several times to try and start from scratch. No pending Windows Updates either.

Is there any sort of uninstall script that I should run to clean out anything left by a failed install? A tech also found an entry for 'Microsoft System CLR Types for SQL Server 2012' in the add / remove programs. Could this be causing some sort of conflict if this component is already installed?

Thank you and QA team for supporting. But after unpack the file and install the SQLSysClrTypes.msi manually, still an error shows up and says that SharedManagementObjects.msi could not installed properly. So I installed all the components manually then click setup.exe, It works.
