Installing Endpoint Backup with other version of SQL
We are wanting to install Backup Protection on one of our physical servers that as a backup solution install that we can not rely on for a good backup. That server already has SQL Server 2008 install. Will there be a problems if we install Endpoint Backup. According to the user guide, it needs Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Express LocalDB. Do not know if we can install different versions of SQL and if we can, will it cause any programs that need SQL Server 2008 to run. We currently use Veeam to backup all of our VM servers.

Re: Installing Endpoint Backup with other version of SQL
To the best of my knowledge different versions of SQL Server can safely co-exist on the same server, just wait for the GA version of the product. Thanks!

Vitaliy is correct,
You can do a side-by-side installation. More information can be found here: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/librar ... .110).aspx
Cheers
