I have to replace a failing hard drive in a computer. I have many full images made in Veeam backup free on a usb drive.
When I replace the old drive with the exact same new one same size and brand and type, will I just re image it in bare metal recovery?
Will there be any problems such as registration with programs etc. ?

Re: Installing new drive with veeam
Yup, Bare Metal Restore should work without any issues. When I replace the old drive with the exact same new one same size and brand and type, will I just re image it in bare metal recovery?
No, if that's going to be entire computer recovery (which includes OS, so all the program installations and setup will be in-place after recovery). Will there be any problems such as registration with programs etc. ?

Re: Installing new drive with veeam
Makes no difference. You just need enough space to fit volumes from the backup. Cheers!
