Post by davidarriagada » May 16, 2019 4:56 pm

1. Is deduplication possible through agent windows?
2. Does it work at the file level?
3. Do I need storage that is suitable for deduplication or does any type of storage work?

thanks, I hope your answers

You can do it with Quest DR Devices that have source side inline dedupe.

Hi David, and welcome to the community!

1,2. The dedup engine is built-in and is always on. You can check that by looking at job session log > check screenshot here.
3. You can leverage the Windows-based repository of Veeam B&R with built-in deduplication enabled, as a target for the agent. Additionally, you can utilize deduplication storage.

Thanks!
