Is it possible - Agent backup to local storage than copy to s3 backblaze

Is it possible - Agent backup to local storage than copy to s3 backblaze
Veeam B&R Ent+ 12.1.2.172 Appliance on a Dell PE R7525
S3 Backblaze object storage
20+ sites connected over VPN. Currently the remote sites are setup as policy agents backing up to local 8TB external USB.
From what I can see in the policy jobs wizard, I can go to cloud or local storage but not both.

I would like the remote agents to behave like the standard B&R backups.
When trying to configure them as a full B&R backup job I don't see a way to set a USB external disk as a repository.
I think I could create a scheduled task to run some PowerShell and R-sync to Backblaze. Has anyone been able to achieve this? Sort of defeats the purpose of Veeam.
Could I trick VBR by creating a share on the external USB and setting that as a repository in B&R appliance?
And that's sort of where I am stuck.

Hello Charles,
Currently the remote sites are setup as policy agents backing up to local 8TB external USB.
Those external USB drives are configured as repo or it's a job pointed to the local storage in the policy?

It's possible with Veeam Agent being managed by Veeam B&R or using Veeam B&R repository as a target: you need to use local repo as a target and then backup copy to S3 storage (additionally you can use Scale-out repository with S3 compatible storage added as capacity tier). Can you try to register the remote storage as repository within B&R (you can use USB drive as repository with rotated media within B&R), setup agent to use such repo as a target and then backup copy to S3 compatible repository?

Thank you!

No the external USB are not configured as a repo, and I don't see any way to make that happen.
Wont it look for a local attached repo on the B&R appliance at D:\veeam ?

BRB let me try your suggestions - I feel like it won't work with B&R handling the management.
Thank you Dima.

Unfortunately Veeam B&R needs to know the location of that backups, as well as periodically sync the metadata with the B&R server, to make the backup copy work correctly, so repository entity is needed.
