Is the .vbk enough to restore the machine ?

Post by great_vc »

Hi,

I want to upload the backup on the cloud, i do not have enough upload speed so i only need the full, i do not care about the incremental and i do understand that i will loose data.
But my question is simple.

If i upload only the .vbk file and then try to restore from that will it work ?

Do i need also the small .vbm file ?

Many thanks.

Hello,
in general, the VKB is enough. VIBs need the VBK, but the VBK (full backup) is self sufficient.

I would also keep the VBM file, because it's so small anyway.

Best regards,
Hannes
