Is this error a issue I need to fix "Error: Access is denied. Error: in [VctSetDeviceFlushCtInformation]"

Post by rob_4X4 »

Case: #07614359
I am running veeam free edition on Windows 11 backing up to a QNAP NAS

I am getting this error during the backup
24/02/2025 6:13:47 PM :: Error: Access is denied. Error: in [VctSetDeviceFlushCtInformation] at step [1] Agent failed to process method {VeeamVolumeCt.Flush}
Is this a error I need to be concerned about ? If yes, what do I need to do to ensure it stops occurring ?
(I did see a old reference from 2018 that a fix is to remove the Veeam CBT. Is this still the case ? )

Thanks in Advance

Hi rob_4X4,

I would review it with Support, correct. Free cases are handled on a "best effort" basis, so if you do have a license with an active Support Contract, please install the license and upload fresh logs, then reach out to Support Management and ask them to convert your case to a paid technical support case.

You might check on your own this directory: C:\ProgramData\Veeam\EndpointData\CtStore\VctStore

Access denied can happen if there are permissions issues, compression enabled on the folder, or if AV blocks it (set exclusions for the path)

If no luck, please continue with Support.
