Last Backup: not started
Hi,
i'm running Veeam Agent for windows in my home environment.
for a couple of weeks now the client shows no indication of past backups. It just says "Last Backup: not started".
Reboot and reinstalling the client doesnt help. Any ideas?
Win10 Pro, latest updates installed.

Please make sure, that you configure a start time when your windows client is powered on.

Hi,
I'd also check if manual job start works fine. Any chance the machine was sitting in a sleep mode and Windows wake up timers were no configured? Thanks!

Hi Dima, and Mildur.
Start time has been configured, and computer never sleeps.
From the system tray icon I can see, that every now and then backup is running, but even then the main Veeam Agent screen stays empty.
Updated to the latest version of Windows Agent, same problem.
Support ticket has been opened, but no answer yet

No probs, I'm quite busy myself and since the backup is working, I'm not ultra concerned.
Anyways, support told me that my license is outdated (thought I was using free lic). Should that cause agent GUI not to show backup status and past backups?

The job can be disabled when you change the license from Server to Workstation (or Free) to avoid possible issues with retention, but it should be possible to start the job after changing the mode for sure and all the activities should be visible.

Hi,
as per veeam support, I'm using workstation license which is expired. The problem is, that I cannot remove the license and change it to free license.
In the agent settings it says that the license and edition is controlled by VBR server.
I have vbr server installed in community (free) mode. In VBR -> license -> instances it says that the workstation is using one workstation license. I can revoke that and remove the workstation. However, in the agent it still says that license and verion is controlled by VBR.
Also, the license has expired 03/04/2022 (as per support), and the problem started last year, so I dont think that the license is issue here.
Svc.VeeamEndpointBackup.log would suggest that license is not expired. I went trough all the logs c:\programdata\endpoint\job\ and could not find anything suggesting, that license would've been expirered
However, I do find a lot of errors in UI.Tray-my.username.log.

I had the same issue and this was the first result on Google. Setting the System Account to English (United States) fixed it for me too.
Seems like a pretty glaring oversight. I'd imagine lots of people use a different setting than USA (a wild guess would be, everyone who isn't in the US). The program should at least show a warning rather than just malfunction.
